Full Figure Yoga

Nava Yoga Studio offers private yoga sessions our full figure students. In a private setting you will learn traditional yoga posses with modifications for your body. You may continue with private sessions or take your knowledge and transition into one of our regular yoga classes.

What is Full Figure Yoga?

Full Figure yoga is a style of hatha yoga.  Each asana (yoga posture)  is modified for our larger students. The class may include the use of limited props (i.e.chairs, bolsters, blocks, straps, blankets).

 

GOALS OF FULL FIGURE YOGA INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO            

  • Become a part of a judgment- free community

  • Challenge and build up internal and muscular strength of the plus size practitioner

  • Build self-confidence and self-acceptance

  • Build increased sensitivity, awareness, and connection with the body and emotions in a loving, nurturing, and accepting environment

  • Learn traditional yoga poses with modifications for the fuller figure
